MY UTMOST FOR HIS GLORY!!
Scripture Connect: 1 Kings 3:3-5 NLT
- Solomon loved the Lord and followed all the decrees of his father, David, except that Solomon, too, offered sacrifices and burned incense at the local places of worship.
- The most important of these places of worship was at Gibeon, so the king went there and sacrificed 1,000 burnt offerings.
- That night the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream, and God said, “What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!”
Utmost means the greatest or most extreme extent or amount…
Giving your best for the glory of God!! Understanding that we are obligated to serve God in the most extreme extent knowing fully well that our services for the kingdom is an Honour to God!!
The way and manner you serve God matters a lot.
In everything we do in the kingdom of God we should give it our Best, nothing but the best!
Solomon gave his best and that was why God took notice of Him.
Abel gave his best and God accepted his Offering.
Paul gave his best to the calling on his life and that was the reason why he became the most influential Apostle till today.
We are anointed and gifted for this very purpose “giving our utmost for His glory”.
vs 3 says, Solomon loved the Lord and followed the decrees of his father…
David Solomon’s Father loved the Lord so dearly, and Solomon followed in the footsteps of his father in loving the Lord passionately in everything He did, and he gave His Highest service and Offering to the Lord!!
Solomon had a Special regards for God and that was what distinguished him to become so successful that other kings came from far and near to learn from Him.
The secret of Solomon is His love for God just like His father David.
Love Leads you to serve with utmost regards, honour and respect!!
Final Note: It is your Heart and not the quantity of your Offering that makes it acceptable before God, but It is also your love for God that gives you the courage to give Him what cost you something!
Power Thought: How do you view your service to God? How passionate are you about serving God?? Do you have a deep connection to God? what propels your giving?
PONDER AND PRAY!!
